East London Wedding Photography with Louisa & Michael celebrating their big day near Bank underground station. The wedding day began with some bridal prep at the Boundary hotel in Shoreditch. The couple have two young children who were full of energy and an absolute delight to work with. After a few photographs of Louisa getting ready, I joined Michael and the groomsmen downstairs in the hotel reception, before we made our way to the Saint Michael Cornhill church in East London.

In an alley on the back streets of London, there’s a small tavern where wedding guests convened for a quick drink before the ceremony with the groom. Shortly afterwards, Louisa arrived in a BMW and we got a couple of photographs of the bridal party before the ceremony got underway.

One of my favourite moments of this East London wedding is photographing the ring-bearer handing the wedding rings over to his parents, it was a lovely wedding ceremony and after signing the register; the bride and groom walked down the aisle for a couple of shots outside the church. After, all the wedding guests joined us outside for a big confetti photo on the steps of the church in East London.

We got a couple of really good photographs using some off camera flash near the entrance to Bank underground station, with the Royal Exchange in the background. I spent a bit of time trying to compose the right shot, and was really happy with the result of this East London Wedding Photography!

We took a short journey to the reception venue, Fredericks, which is a restaurant in Islington, just next to Camden passage. We used the small back streets of London for few more portraits of the bride and groom before the rest of the wedding party joined us for drinks and canapés in the restaurant. A formal dinner was served shortly afterwards, with wedding speeches from the brother of the bride, the groom and the best man – all of which were absolutely hilarious!
