Pangdean Old Barn Wedding

Pangdean Old Barn Wedding’s are a firm favourite of mine. I’m shooting there again in around a month and have shot plenty of weddings there already, which you can view here. Darren & Valériane had an amazing day with both rain and shine and our first photo is actually before the wedding ceremony which took place in the barn. They arrived together at Pangdean Old Barn in a stunning champagne gold Rolls-Royce Shadow II.

After the ceremony, the wet weather had dissipated for a bit so we were very able to line everyone up for a confetti photo, and a massive thanks to the best man, Sam, for timing the bulk of the confetti in this photo so well. We then got a couple of photographs around the gardens, notably underneath the archway through to the main drinks reception.

This Mulberry tree is a firm favourite most couples to have a photograph taken under, as the tree seems to get larger and larger over the years, the angle of the shot seems to get lower and lower! This was taken would be lying on the floor in order to get the right angle underneath the fantastic foliage of this ancient tree.

A wander further afield from the barn leads us directly to the foot of the South Downs. This is my favourite spot for taking photographs at Pangdean Old Barn, and we were really lucky that the fields of wheat had not been harvested yet.

In the evening, we went up onto the south downs to try and catch some golden hour light, but the clouds were a little too thick to let the sunlight through. However, the changeable weather meant that we had lots of clouds to catch the colour of the light as the sun started to set, creating a fantastic backdrop for the shot below.

For the first dance, I wanted to catch a shot of the two of them just before all the guests came in to see their surprising routine set to a mash up of songs!

Just before the end of the day, the rain had started again, and with a flash set behind Darren & Valériane we captured this wonderful rain photo just next to the barn doors.
